  • Talk Therapy

    This form of therapy is most common; it can also be identified as psychotherapy. In traditional talk therapy you show up and speak with a person who specializes and is trained in the topic that you present with. In traditional talk therapy the therapist assists the client in accomplishing their established goals by slowing down and exploring all aspects related to thoughts feelings and behaviors related to the presenting topic. Actually ME utilizes a virtual platform to reach high-functioning teens, adults and couples who seek to discuss and work to improve their mental health. Actually ME utilizes a person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally affirming approach to help you discover yourself in new ways. This practice understands that everyone has their own unique experience of life and we aim to help you explore that story with no bounds. Our only requirement is that you come as yourself!

  • Art Therapy

    Art Therapy is a creative, evidence-based approach that helps clients express thoughts and emotions that may be difficult to put into words. Through drawing, painting, collage, and other artistic processes, clients can explore their inner world in a safe, supportive environment.

    You do not need to be an artist to benefit from Art Therapy. The focus is on the process—not the final product.

    Art Therapy can help clients:

    Process trauma and overwhelming emotions

    Improve emotional regulation

    Build self-awareness and self-expression

    Reduce stress and anxiety

    Support healing for children, teens, and adults

    In sessions, the therapist guides clients to use art making as a tool to reflect, express, and understand themselves more deeply. This approach can be especially helpful for clients who struggle to talk about their experiences or who feel more comfortable expressing themselves creatively.

    Art Therapy is available for children (ages 8+), adolescents, adults, and seniors.

  • Consultation

    Actually ME operates off the belief to provide a safe space where clients are heard and unconditionally accepted for all that they come with. We believe in listening without judgement and helping without imposing. We believe that the client is the expert and that they are capable of fulfilling the change that they want to see in themselves. Change is intentional! We hold very strong obligations to giving back to the community. To align with our values we offer consultation services outside of our Therapy Services. We specialize in the following;

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy

    Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals resolve traumatic memories and other psychological issues through a structured, yet rapid process. It combines elements from various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), to facilitate rapid recovery.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

    EMDR. This form of therapy assumes that the trauma or distress experienced by a person has caused their world view to be shaped negatively. This then impacts the person’s ability to cope with life experiences in a healthy positive manner. EMDRs therapy model utilizes the participants' experience to guide them in desensitization and reprocessing distress associated with the trauma. EMDR is a model that has been proven to help HEAL trauma and prepare you to face and create a life satisfying life.
